  1. Introduction
    • Welcome to SKIPIFI (“the App”), a mobile application that enhances your streaming experience by automatically skipping pre-identified content in movies and TV shows on various streaming platforms (e.g., Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “you”) and SKIPIFI, Inc. (“Skipifi,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” “us”).
    • By accessing or using the App, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App. Your continued use of our Services after any modifications means you accept and agree to the revised Terms.
  2. Description of Services
    • Skipifi is a smart content filtering tool designed to enhance your streaming experience by automatically skipping unwanted content, such as violence, nudity, and explicit language, in movies and TV shows. The App acts as a remote control for supported streaming platforms, seamlessly skipping specific scenes based on pre-determined markers.
    • To ensure that the most relevant content is available, Skipifi prioritizes processing movies and TV shows based on insights from TMDB (The Movie Database), a widely used media information platform like IMDb, and other relevant movie and TV sites. This approach ensures that Skipifi initially covers the most popular media that users are likely to watch and that may contain content they wish to filter.
    • Skipifi includes a search feature that allows users to check whether a particular movie or TV show has been processed. As the app grows, we plan to introduce additional features, such as allowing users to request specific media for processing and incorporating human review teams to supplement the AI model, ensuring a higher degree of precision in content detection.
    • By using Skipifi, you can take control of your streaming experience and enjoy content in a way that aligns with your preferences and comfort level.
  3. Intended Users
    • The App is intended for users within the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. By using the App, you confirm that your use does not violate any local, national, or international laws applicable to your location.
  4. AI Use and Compliance
    • Skipifi utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze and filter content, ensuring compliance with applicable AI laws in the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union. We prioritize ethical AI use, transparency, and user rights, aligning with emerging regulatory frameworks such as:
    • United States: Skipifi adheres to guidelines issued by agencies such as the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and follows best practices outlined in the Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights to ensure responsible AI deployment, data privacy, and non-discrimination.
    • United Kingdom: We comply with regulations under the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and align with recommendations from the UK AI Strategy, which emphasizes transparency, fairness, and accountability in AI-driven services.
    • European Union: Skipifi ensures compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and upcoming EU Artificial Intelligence Act, focusing on data minimization, user control, and ethical AI governance.
    • AI Transparency & User Rights
      • Skipifi is committed to transparency in AI decision-making. Users have the right to:
      • Understand how AI impacts their experience: We provide explanations regarding how our AI identifies and processes sensitive content.
      • Opt-out of AI features: Users may have the ability to adjust content filtering settings or disable automated filtering.
      • Request corrections: If you believe Skipifi’s AI has incorrectly flagged or missed content, you can submit feedback to improve accuracy.
    • Data Privacy & AI Ethics
      • Skipifi ensures that AI-driven content analysis adheres to strict data protection principles:
      • No facial recognition or biometric data is used: Our AI analyzes content but does not track or recognize individual users.
      • Minimal data collection: We only collect necessary data for service functionality and comply with global privacy laws.
      • Bias Mitigation: Our AI is regularly evaluated to prevent discriminatory filtering and ensure fair and objective content analysis.
      • As AI regulations evolve, Skipifi is committed to updating its practices to maintain compliance and protect user rights. Users will be notified of any material changes to our AI policies through app updates and email notifications.
