About the reviews
Mohammad AlJarhi
Founder & Lead Critic
Builder of Skipifi and a parent-minded movie nerd. Every review is written after actually watching the title — with notes on exactly what families can expect scene by scene.
Most movie reviews tell you whether a film is good. Ours also tell you whether it's comfortable — what's actually in it, scene by scene, and what Skipifi can automatically skip or mute so your family can watch anyway.
How we rate
Every review carries two independent scores:
- Star rating (1–5) — is it worth your evening? Pure quality judgment, unrelated to content safety.
- Safety tier — what's in it, using the same four tiers as the Skipifi app:
Kid-Safe
no nudity, kissing, innuendo, strong language, or violence
Mostly Ok
no nudity or kissing — may include innuendo, mild language, mild violence
Suggestive
no nudity — may include kissing, innuendo, suggestive language, medium violence/gore
Unsafe
may include nudity, kissing, innuendo, extreme language, extreme violence/gore
Where a title has been Skipified, reviews also list the exact number of scenes skipped and lines muted — data that comes from the same AI + human-feedback pipeline that powers the app.
Independence
Reviews are editorially independent: studios don't pay for coverage and scores are never traded. The only product we'll ever pitch you is our own — because it's the reason the safety data exists.
